I Love Blue…

I'll chose Blue.

I’ll chose Blue.

It was a little janky but held together.

It was a little Janky but held together.

I also Love Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Purple, Brown, Black, Silver, Gold, Aqua-Marine, et cetera, and I had to climb on a table made from Saw Horse and different sized pieces of wood, in order to reach the middle parts. I had to be aware of my Feet, which are always getting in my way, and especially not to get my shoes on the painting. There was a lot to remember, including not falling off. I don’t want to Fall off of the Miracle Wave, not now or ever. As I mentioned earlier (and possibly on another Platform), We didn’t start the Miracle Wave, We just became aware of it and hopped on! Pray continue…

Art Party Part II

I had an amazing experience in Connecticut from October 9th, through the 27th. There was a lot of time with Dear Friends, both Old and New and there was a lot of time by Myself, just painting. I had so much fun and did SO much work and the implications of what was Accomplished are yet to be truly digested or thought about fully. I think as they develop and as time moves by this will be seen as a major point in My Life as an Artist and in the building of Friendships. I also had a Great Deal of Support from My Home Team, my Mom and my Dad, without Whom, I would never have made it this Far, Ami and Jason of the Mad Tea, Anita Lorraine Kinney, Bethany Adams of Rhetorical Factory, Justyn Thompson, Miss Firefly, Kim Pitman, and Robert Frito Seven of the World Pineapple Church! Such wonder-full support and love makes even a daunting job feel easy! Thanks to You ALL! And to Meredith DiMenna and Emil Halas, my Gratitude will glow on Your Walls for many Years to come! Stay tuned for the Premier of “the Earliest Days of the Miracle Wave!” a multi-media presentation, a Video and Song, written, recorded and filmed during the time period mentioned above. More details will follow shortly.

Up here at Flavor Bay, We’ve been painting and filming and recording Vocal tracks for Our Song “the Earliest Days of the Miracle Wave”. It was another beautiful day here, on the banks of Candlewood Lake. The Wood Stove was finally installed today, thanks to George, so, at last, it is swamp-like inside. I’ve been painting like crazy and I recorded a Vocal Track, which was very challenging. “Emil Nomel was testing the limits of patience and pitch.” said Meredith DiMenna, after She coached Me through the hard parts of the singing. I finally got it, or at least They thought it was good enough. I had Chicken with ginger for dinner and a lot of Coffee all day. That’s pretty much what this mission is fueled by… lots of Coffee, which is especially nice on such a chilly Fall day. We watched leaves falling like rain and saw the super-illuminated afternoon Silver Pool of Light, as the Sun got down in just the right spot, to wallow for a while and send Us its warm to absorb. Now I’m gonna go on painting into the Night, as my deadline draws nearer.

Soon the Bay will be full of floating leaves before they slowly sink to the bottom and form next year's muck between Your toes.

Through a series of communications with a Dear Friend, I realized what I have written above. There is a flurry of Fall Activity here at the Flavor Bay Chalet. I am frantically working on the second large Painting I am making in the North, Art Party Part II. We were going to get a Wood Stove put in today but the Guy Who was going to install it is having His Birthday Party instead. So, We will just carry on as if We were Characters in a Russian Novel, all bundled-up in Our Ceremonial Cloths. Outside clouds race across the Autumn Sky, while others sit perfectly still, allowing rays of light to emanate from behind them, as they parked in from of the drooping afternoon Sun. Across the Bay, bright colors of Orange, Yellow, Magenta and Green are glowing, while multi-colored Leaves are blowing on the brisk wind. Now the fallen leaves begin to gather at the edge of the shore.

In a Finite World like here…

EmilGuitarTracks MeredithFilmingDo We automagically begin to Dream? I do, indeed. I dream while awake and in my Sleep I dream Dreams that are truly fantastical. Those dreams provide the basis for many of my Artworks and fuel my thoughts for entire Days. To-day I spent most of the day painting. At first I was out on the deck, overlooking the Bay but after a while it was just too chilly, so I came inside and set up a make-shift easel with a chest of drawers and a left-over wood piece from under the deck. Emil spent all day working on the Music and laying down all kinds of drum and guitar tracks. Last night He and I added vocals before sending the whole thing to Meredith DiMenna, who has been editing the Video and writing a Press Release and doing Nine Million other things, including Singing, again on this crazy song: “the Earliest Days of the Miracle Wave” stay tuned for a link to see and hear the Wave Occur.

IMG_1142 IMG_1186 IMG_1194This day I returned to Flavor Bay, after cleaning up the space where I worked for the last week. I am so thankful to the Nest ARTs Factory for the very generous sharing of Space. Now, back at Flavor Bay, after a dinner of Roasted Chicken and Roots Vegetables by Chef Emil, We are now working on the Music for “the Earliest Days of the Miracle Wave”, which will accompany the Film of the Painting being made. It’s getting very interesting and soon We’ll add Vocals again, then We’ll send it back down to the Coast for Meredith DiMenna to check out again on Her end. I saw some lovely reflections of Clouds in the Lake as the Sun was sliding behind the Hill on the other side. It was another beautiful Fall Day but They tell Us that a change is gonna come. I’m glad it stayed warm while I worked on the Third Floor of 10,000+ square feet with no visible heat sources. That was true charm and indeed must have been bolstered by the Miracle Wave, which has lifted each of Us up, each in its own unique way. I’m up in the Top, high in the Studio Attic, listening in while Super Groovy Guitar notes float in rapid succession, very similar to the Ribbon-like Waves of the Miracle, whose lengths never cease to amaze.

Things that are impossible… which means Giganticism!

Painting Earliest WavesFinished Hung-up.Egg Sample. It is very hard to explain everything that went into the past seven days, no to mention all that went into what came before that. So many People were on my Team and now this most Gigantic of Paintings, this Miracle Art Piece, which represents the beginning of the Miracle Wave itself, is now completed and drying overnight. All I have to do is take apart the table and clean up the space at the ARTs Nest in the morning and head back up North, to Flavor Bay.

The above is part of a Collaborative Song to accompany the Enormous Painting “the Earliest Days of the Miracle Wave”, that I am working on with Meredith DiMenna and Emil Nomel, both of the State of Connecticut.

Saturday Night, after my fourth long day of painting, I went up to Danbury, CT, to meet Emil and Joe Shaboo, a Children’s Book Author, Poet, Mathematician, Inventor, Husband, Father, et cetera. We went out and had Pizza followed by Ice Cream. It was a delightful evening.

Sunday I was back in the Art Nest, before 9:00am, painting like crazy and I am almost done with the Top part of the Painting. My goal is for Monday to be my last day of painting, which, if You include the day of table building, gessoing and projection, would be my 7th day in the process of painting this work.
